Tuesday 5 January

We were awake early this morning in time to wish Marc a Happy 30th Birthday before he left for work.

Max and I walked round the perimeter of the three fields beside us. As we haven’t had a completely dry day yet since we’ve been here we return even muddier than the day before.

Today we met another of our neighbours.  So far everyone has been very friendly and welcoming.

This afternoon we had a drive out to explore more of the local area and we ended up in Tarporley,  one of Cheshire’s largest villages.   We parked the car and had a walk around.   This was on our list of places to visit  as we passed through a couple of years ago on the bus.   This picturesque village comprises many beautiful old houses, and also supports three pubs/hotels, several coffee shops, a couple of gift shops  and some very smart dress shops that I didn’t wish to visit today as I still had my muddy wellies on.  I must put some spare shoes in the car to put on when we go out!
