We’re back on board after two weeks at home.
A friendly robin and a tiny mouse have been keeping an eye on the boat from the nearby hedge while our five new batteries were fitted. We will resume cruising in the morning and start our journey towards Llangollen.
Each day began with an early morning and chilly walk on the Westwood with my friend Cheryl, and her dog Poppy who really enjoys playing with Max.
We’ve had fun with family and friends meeting for coffees, lunches and dinners and have generally undone all the good work post Christmas when we actually lost a few pounds.
We managed to do all the jobs we’d planned and now have bedding plants in the garden together with bulbs and tubers to ensure we have some flowers later in the year.
I began my search for a posh frock for James’ & Ali’s wedding next year and couldn’t believe my luck when the first dress I tried on was perfect. I also found the jacket, hat, shoes and bag – RESULT!!
I had a nice time taking my Mum to see “The Second Exotic Marigold Hotel” – another lovely feel good film promoting hope for a good time in old age.
Storm was mainly working, but he managed to find time to tinker with his motorbike and to go and play snooker.
