Monday 3 March

We popped into the new Birmingham Rep to buy tickets for a performance called ‘Blink’ for tonight which had had good reviews and after that to New Street  railway station.

In last week’s papers we’d read about the new ‘Two Together Railcard” being launched today which means we  get 1/3rd off our rail fares.   We also bought tickets to Euston for tomorrow as we’re going to the Ecobuild Exhibition at Excel.

After that we went in search of a camera shop as my trusty compact has finally died after much use and we found what we were looking for in Jessops and placed our order for one to be ready for collection on Wednesday.

After all that expenditure, we needed to return to the boat to recover!

In the evening, we met up with a friend who works at The Rep for a drink in The Prince of Wales pub before going to see Blink which was nice.      We really enjoyed the play,  which has a cast of two, and they captivated us with their love story.   If you get a chance to see this whilst it’s on tour don’t be put off by the fact it’s a love story, it is well worth seeing.
